A message from the Kid’s Club Team…
October 7, 2017
Hello Kid’s Club family!
As a new school year is well underway, we hope this letter finds you having had a fun, restful, and memorable summer. As we have already transitioned into fall and school is in full swing, we here at Brooklyn Reformed Church and our entire Kid’s Club team are praying for you all. We know there are always changes, adjustments, and new plans that come for the whole family at the beginning of a new school year.
As BRC heads into its own fall schedule, we have some exciting plans of our own! Starting in September, we began a church-wide study on Sunday mornings for all ages, called The Gospel Project. This weekly study covers the entire Bible beginning in the New Testament with the life of Jesus. One of the most exciting parts of this study is that everyone is studying the same thing at the same time! From nursery-age children all the way through adults, each week we will be diving into the same scriptures together – at an age appropriate level, of course! It is our prayer that this will encourage families and friends to continue the conversation and study together at home throughout the week.
At this point you may be wondering, if this study is taking place on Sunday mornings, what does this mean for Kid’s Club? We as a leadership team have felt led to take a break from Kid’s Club for a time. We know this news will be sad for all of you to hear, but we want to take this opportunity to invite you and your family to join us at BRC on Sunday mornings as we study The Gospel Project together. We know many of you attend another church on Sunday mornings, and we want to encourage you to continue attending that church and growing as a part of that community. But if you are looking for a church to call home, we invite you to join us at BRC and discover what The Gospel Project is all about. Join us for Coffee & Community at 10am and then for The Gospel Project which begins at 10:30.
We would love to have you here with us!
Mr. Andrew, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Emily, and Ms. Glenda
PS – If you show up on a Sunday, there is a pretty good chance that you’ll see a certain Sheriff playing the drums!! 🙂
